Teatr Ósmego Dnia is the most famous Polish theatre group, whose origins go back to student’s counterculture theatre of 1960s. Today “Ósemki” is a legendary group, the symbol of committed theatre, pulsating with the rhythm of the most important political and social events. The group has its seat in the 19th century Arkadia building, continuing the tradition of that place (the building housed a city theatre before). “Ósemki” has been with us from the festival’s first edition. Its stage hosted such artists as Teatr Porywacze Ciał or Rabih Mroué & Linae Saneh with the show 33 Rounds and Few Seconds. During Malta 2011 the show Osadzeni had its premiere. It was the outcome of cooperation between Teatr Ósmego Dnia and Poznań Remand Centre.
