  • The eponymous “feast” follows the convention of the grotesque and serves as its main course the human being – both in its physical and spiritual dimension. The show makers refer to castings and talent shows, which turn the human being into an object of assessment. They point to the sexualisation of language which we know so well from food commercials. Also, in an absolute albeit humorous way, they approach human greed and insatiability, and the objectification of others.

  • Teatr USTA USTA REPUBLIKA has existed since 2000. Nearly every project created by the company is a site-specific theatrical experiment. Republika Usta Usta has staged its shows in the basements of the Centre for Contemporary Arts, in the attic of the Poznań Society of Friends of Sciences, in an underground car park, in a nighttime labyrinth of urban streets, and within the virtual space of telephone connections. Leaving the theatre building enables a multilayered play on urban space and traditional narration. At present, the company works in an old residential building at 11 Gwarna Street, under the Republika Sztuki Tłusta Langusta project. It shares this venue with several other theatre companies: Circus Ferus, Porywacze Ciał and Radykalna Frakcja Medialna Mazut.
