We all know and love Thom Yorke mostly as the front man of Radiohead. Thirty thousand lucky people who came to Radiohead’s concert requested by the City of Poznań and organized by Malta Festival in 2009 certainly remember how charismatic Yorke was. Being a leader of one supergroup and guest performances on records of other fantastic artists, such as Björk, PJ Harvey and Beck, is not enough for Thom’s capabilities and energy. So he created another superband at the end of 2009 and called it Atoms for Peace. It is made up of the bass player of Red Hot Chili Peppers, Flea, the long-term producer of Radiohead Nigel Godrich (on keyboards and synthesizers), drummer Joey Waronker known for cooperation with e.g. Beck and R.E.M, and Brazilian multi-instrumentalist Mauro Refosco on percussion, who used to play with among others David Byrne and Brian Eno.

Today, Amok – their debut record is officially published.
