In summer we focus predominantly on music in the community Gardens! A Poznań-based indie rock band Felix The Baker will give a concert in the Wilda Garden on Thursday 24 July at 7 pm.
Life is thriving all season long in the Gardens in Łazarz and Wilda as well as in Kiosk (w) Ruchu in Jeżyce. The places that were regenerated thanks to the cooperation of the neighbourhoods’ residents, local activists, members of Kasztelania Ostrowska association, students of School of Form and the team of Generator Malta host holiday meetings and artistic events.
The first of the series of holiday and garden concerts organized by Malta Festival Poznań will take place already on Thursday in Wilda. The warm timbre of Kuba Zimny, the singer, supported by computer-game-like synths are a distinctive feature of Felix The Baker. The band performed on many stages in Poznań. It managed to win loyal fans quickly and gained recognition in music charts of the local radio stations.
The concerts that took place in the Gardens during Malta festival received a great welcome from the local residents, caused lively reactions, served as an opportunity to dance and sing together. In summer, we would like to invite all Poznań residents to the free-of-charge concerts. We can’t wait to listen to the Thursday concert of Felix The Baker. The concerts of such bands as La Vita Quartet specialising in Astor Piazzolla’s lively tango nuevo will come in the following weeks.
