  • When is work restricting, and when does it build bonds? In a time of economic recession, a reflection on the relationship between people and work is becoming increasingly urgent. We will look at this relationship in the context of systemic analogies in Poland and in Latin America. The subject of political transformation which despite having started many years ago is not complete, is presented at Malta Festival in the shows Re-Wolt by Weronika Szczawińska (see page …) and Zachem. Interwencja by Aleksandra Jakubczak and Małgorzata Wdowik (see page …). The documentary film The Take by Naomi Klein, depicts the effects of the economic slump in Argentina 1999-2002. The work-focused series will end in a debate on the effects of using participation methods in management, based on the example of the well-known Brazilian factory Semco, which owes its success to dismissing its management and involving its over three thousand staff members in decision making processes.
