BALLET SCHOOL are a Berlin-based indie group, who have been playing together since 2012. They are vocalist Rosie Blair, guitarist Michel Collet and drummer Louis McGuire. The musicians are inspired by a ballerina figure supporting all her body weight on the tip of her toes and appears weightless to the audience. In deep meditation, she overcomes pain to deliver a true moment of grace. Ballet School is about this very moment – a moment of grace and of departure from reality. Their music contains traces of 1980s pop and RnB, whilst Rosie Blair’s voice is compared to that of Cocteau Twins singer Liz Fraser and the Cranberries’ Dolores O’Riordan.
