from the Children Are Free to... series
Every day, children are faced with objects and architecture designed for adults, for instance doorknobs, light switches or sinks that are too high for them to reach. At the same time, many objects are miniaturised: doll’s houses, tableware for teddy bears or small tools that imitate real ones. Our proposal is to play with reversing the scale. In the Square, we will situate some objects known from children’s rooms. These, however, will be considerably enlarged, to the extent that you will be able to go inside them, see what they look like from within and take part in all the fun. Children will contribute to the making of the toys at various stages of their creation. When it comes to toys, they are the experts!
