literary and performance workshop ending in a stage reading
A group of senior citizens and young theatre director Aleksandra Jakubczak will work on one of the most renowned Polish contemporary novels, Paw Królowej [The Queen’s Peacock] by Dorota Masłowska. During a series of meetings they will analyse the texts and look for their own keys to access the topics featured in the prose and to its form. The ultimate goal of the meetings is to create a script for a stage reading. By taking on the triple role of active readers, co-writers and performers, and by recounting their contact with contemporary literature, the seniors will tell the audience about themselves, their sensitivity and the way they look at the world.
