  • from the Children Are Free to... series

The presence of children in a city is often associated with playing. However, their ideas are rarely taken into account in the designing of actual play areas. This is why we want to invite the youngest residents of Poznań to become play area designers. This will be done in three steps. The first of these will entail a cartographic exercise: a walk with children as guides, which will end with the mapping of the actual and potential, the formal and the informal play areas. The second step will be a workshop, during which the children’s inventiveness will be combined with the expertise of designers. In the final step, we will implement the children’s ideas at a selected site in Poznań.
